The doctors and staff at Sandown Health Centre on the Isle of Wight are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare.
We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

Our list is presently closed for new patient registrations apart from immediate family members and new born babies of existing patients.

Please check NHS Choices for details of other surgeries accepting new registrations.

Please visit the NHS Choices website (www.nhs.uk) for further information regarding local GP surgeries

As long as you are registered with an Island GP surgery and agree for your patient record to be shared, you can use this Advanced Access service and will be able to book advanced access appointments via your own GP surgery.

For further information about this service, please click here

Dementia friendly

We are delighted to announce we have recently become a dementia friendly practice.

We strongly encourage our patients to sign up to become a Dementia Friend. You can do this online by clicking here

If you have diarrhoea and/or vomiting it could last up to 5 days.

Please do NOT come into the Surgery as it can be highly infectious.

Please call us and ask for a telephone consultation if you need advice

Urgent Care Service For The Island

With effect from 1st October 2017 the Beacon Health Centre will now become part of the UCS (Urgent Care Service). It is for those who have been advised by a health professional – doctor, dentist, optician, or pharmacist - or the NHS 111 service - to visit the UCS.

More information can be found here >>

Change of Details?

If you move house or change your name, please let the surgery know as soon as possible. If you move outside our practice area, you may need to register with a surgery in your new locale. Our receptionists will be happy to assist you with this.

It would also help us a great deal if you gave us your home telephone number, especially if you are ex-directory, in case we need to contact you for any reason. Knowing your mobile number, if you have one, would also be helpful.
